We are Everstrong

Every child should grow up free from harm and feeling safe. Creating these conditions is a shared responsibility. It requires individuals, institutions, and communities to work together to shift the systems and cultures that shape children’s lives.

None of us can do this alone, but together, our efforts can drive meaningful, lasting change.

Our Mission

To prevent child sexual exploitation and trafficking through education, advocacy, and empowerment.

Our Founders

The organization now known as Everstrong began in 2012 when a group of women from Seattle came together to combat sex trafficking of youth in Washington State. Originally named StolenYouth, the organization sought to raise awareness and money for local organizations doing important work for survivors.

Meet Our Founders Circle

Through a wide range of community partnerships and a lot of hard work, the organization grew from an idea to a leading Washington State grantmaker, supporting dozens of initiatives working to empower survivors and distributing more than $6M in grants.

The original founders of the organization built a community of caring Seattleites who came together annually to support the organization and learn about the work. These annual events became an essential part of the organization’s identity and we continue to gather our community of donors together to help build awareness and support.

A New Chapter

After over a decade of watching and learning, the organization became a new kind of participant in this work, and pivoted to launching a regional program focused on prevention.

In 2025, we changed our name from StolenYouth to Everstrong, shifting the focus away from what is lost to the harms of commercial sex trafficking to what is unchanging about our shared humanity. That year also saw the launch of our first educational programming pilot and our Everstrong Prevention Portal.

We continue to be survivor-informed in all our work, maintaining a Survivor Council and an active direct grants program for the Survivor community in the Washington State , where we’re based.
