The Ginny Fund is meant to provide financial assistance in times of crisis, emergency, or extreme difficulty. Most commonly, grants go towards rental assistance, medical expenses, legal bills, and utilities. Please be aware that if your request falls outside of what would be considered an urgent or critical need, it is unlikely to be awarded as we aim to maintain funds for survivors to access through the end of the year.

Who qualifies for a Ginny Fund grant?
The Ginny Fund is open to all survivors of sex trafficking in Washington State and prioritizes those who were trafficked as youth.
Who can apply?
Applications must be submitted by an advocate, service provider, or law enforcement on behalf of a survivor. Applications submitted by an individual on their own behalf will be rejected.
Is there a limit to how much funding can be requested?
There is no minimum or maximum amount that can be requested, however we typically award grants under $1000.
Can a survivor receive multiple grants in the same year?
There is no limit to how many applications can be submitted on behalf of the same survivor per year, however, to maximize impact we aim to prioritize those who have not previously received a grant.
When are applications accepted?
Year-round. The application will close once the funds are expended for the year.
How are approval decisions made?
The Ginny Fund is dedicated to supporting survivors by providing a safety net during times of urgent financial need. To ensure fair and equitable distribution, an objective process will guide the review and approval of grants. StolenYouth is committed to assisting survivors of sex trafficking and will carefully evaluate Ginny Fund applications, focusing on each survivor’s situation, the urgency of their needs, and the potential impact of the requested grant.
How long will it take between applying and grant approval?
Typically, we review and approve/deny applications on a weekly basis. If the situation is a true emergency, StolenYouth will work to get the funds out as quickly as possible. Once an award letter is sent via email, advocates/applicants have TWO WEEKS to sign and submit the corresponding paperwork. After two weeks, the award is no longer guaranteed and you may need to reapply.
How does Everstrong pay the grant?
Everstrong pays the vendor directly, meaning we do not directly award money to the survivor or advocate.
Are there expectations of a survivor once they receive funding?
There are no expectations of a survivor after they receive funds. If a survivor wishes to share their experience or thank the donors that make the Ginny Fund possible, they may reach us via mail (PO Box 296 Seattle, WA 98111) or by email joy@everstrong.org.
