Jessica R. Muñoz, MSN, APRN-RX, FNP-BC, is a healthcare leader and nonprofit executive with nearly two decades of experience serving children impacted by complex trauma, exploitation, and systemic neglect. She is the Founder of Ho‘ōla Nā Pua, a Hawaiʻi-based organization dedicated to preventing child sex trafficking and providing long-term, trauma-informed healing for youth who have been exploited. Jessica is the architect of Pearl Haven, Hawaiʻi’s first long-term residential treatment campus for sexually exploited girls, now recognized nationally for its clinical outcomes and continuum-of-care model.
With a background as a trauma nurse practitioner, Jessica brings a survivor-centered, systems-informed perspective to governance, prevention, and long-term aftercare. Her work has focused on strengthening multidisciplinary collaboration across healthcare, child welfare, education, and justice systems, while advancing prevention education and ethical, trauma-responsive practices. Jessica joins the board of Everstrong with a deep commitment to empowering youth, supporting prevention-first strategies, and contributing to sustainable solutions that protect children and help them grow into safe, resilient futures.
