At Everstrong, we’re not building a program that only we can deliver—we’re building one that anyone can. Our Prevention Portal is a simple idea designed to expand our impact far beyond our own backyard.
When any teacher, community leader, or parent anywhere in the world can open a browser and start a conversation that changes how a young person sees the world, that’s scale.
The Limitations of Linear Growth
Most nonprofit program models grow linearly. This is often necessary when a one-to-one human relationship is key. But in this model, growth requires more staff, and more staff requires more money. The math inevitably starts to limit how much impact you can achieve.
So, we flipped the equation. Instead of asking how to grow our organization, we asked how to grow our impact. This led to a different set of questions:
What if we made a significant, up-front investment in a platform that could live forever online, accessible from anywhere? What if it was built with expansion and flexibility baked in from the start? And what if it contained free, adaptable resources, made with such care that people would find them genuinely useful and relevant to the work they already do?
That’s what scalability looks like. Make it easy, make it useful, and make it accessible. We can upload a new lesson today, and by tomorrow, it can reach thousands of young people hundreds of miles away.

The Prevention Portal is our answer to helping people take the first step in what can feel like an intimidating journey. When communities have easy access to real, usable prevention tools—tools that demystify the topic and empower conversations with young people—they gain a sound foundation. Suddenly, there’s something tangible they can do about a big problem, right at the scale of their own families, neighborhoods, and schools.
Communities, once empowered, welcome the next step. Our Prevention Portal doesn’t replace less-scalable programs; it sets the table for collaboration with them. Our resources open the door for those programs to have an even greater impact in their communities. It’s a further scaling of everyone’s impact through collaboration.
